Kreativ-Transfer/German Dance Association and Goethe-Institut Glasgow
This panel discussion offers an opportunity to gain deeper insights into Germany's diverse dance, circus and theatre landscape and to learn more about current trends in the Scottish and German performing arts scene.
Moderated by Dr. Ann-Christine Simke, five experts will discuss the latest developments in the German and Scottish scene. The panel is made up of representatives from the Scottish scene, LJ Findlay-Walsh and Louise Stephens, as well as professionals working in Germany, Claudius Bensch and Chiara de' Nobili & Alex Miller. Before and after the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity to network with the participating experts and guests.

Join us for an evening of celebration and international networking at Summerhall, hosted by the German Showcase “Performing Arts Made in Germany” and the Luxembourg Showcase together with Goethe-Institute Glasgow. "Performing Arts Made in Germany" is the first German showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, initiated by Kreativ-Transfer. As part of this event, we invite you to a "speed dating party" to make contacts, exchange impressions and knowledge and simply spend time together.
With a programme selected by an international jury, the showcase offers an overview of the German performing arts scene. The four shows represent some of the best contemporary dance, circus and theatre that Germany has to offer at the Fringe Festival. The four selected companies will present their shows at four of the festival's main venues between 13 and 25 August 2024.
The showcase is organised by Kreativ-Transfer, which, with the support of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, supports professionals from the performing arts, visual arts and games in establishing and expanding their international networks in order to improve their visibility on the international market.
